“Through traveling, we gain a new appreciation for the diversity of human experience, and for the incredible beauty that can be found in even the most unlikely of places.”– Unknown
At Koby Brown Photography, we know that planning a destination wedding can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. With a bit of preparation and organization, you can create the wedding of your dreams in a location that you and your guests will never forget.
With our years of experience and having captured weddings across the globe… We’ve put together 3 steps you should take to start planning your destination wedding. These don’t have to be in order!
Choose Your Dream Destination Wedding Location
One of the most important pieces of planning your dream destination wedding is choosing the perfect location. You may already have a place in mind, or you may need to do some research to find a location that suits your style, budget, and guest list. Consider factors like the weather, accessibility, and available amenities.
If you’re having a hard time deciding, maybe jump to the next step first…
If you know your destination wedding location, there are great opportunities to work with local vendors who know the area and can help you bring your vision to life. If you don’t know your location, or maybe you’re keeping your options open, hiring a well traveled destination vendor who have a significant amount of experience can be so helpful! I have a blog all about looking beyond local for destination weddings here.
We pride ourselves on not only being your photographers but also helping to make sure your dream day comes into fruition. This could include location scouting for images before you arrive and even putting you into contact with some of our fellow destination wedding vendors! We will help you look for vendors who have experience with destination weddings and can provide references from previous clients.
Set Your Destination Wedding Budget
Destination weddings are a very intricate and detailed experience, so it’s important to be realistic about what you are prioritizing for your special day! Take into account travel expenses, accommodations, vendor fees, and any other expenses that may arise.
With these three steps, you’ll be well on your way to planning the destination wedding of your dreams. And when it comes to capturing those beautiful memories, we’re here to help. At Koby Brown Photography, we specialize in destination weddings and would be honored to be a part of your special day.
